Tradewind is currently seeking a compassionate and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) School in Ellesmere Port. Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support to students with SEN, including SEMH needs, in both academic and social settings.
• Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of students.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
• Collaborate with fellow staff members and external professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly those with SEMH needs, is highly desirable.
• A compassionate and patient demeaner with a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
• Relevant qualifications or training in education or SEN support would be advantageous.

To be considered for this position you will:
- have previous school experience and be familiar with the SIMS system
- Be a committed professional
- Be an organised, enthusiastic proactive person
-Hold a child workforce enhanced DBS certificate which is on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one (costs refunded back to you when you complete 20 days work)
-have satisfactory references
-have a CV must that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
