Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a Redditch primary school in the KS2 / Year 6 team. The role is full-time on a long-term basis with an immediate start, delivering targeted support to pupils with EHCP plans as well as general classroom support.

The successful candidate will have experience in a primary setting, a relevant TA qualification (desirable), and a patient, supportive approach to help pupils feel confident and included.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with additional needs and EHCP plans.
• Experience working in a primary school setting.
• Strong understanding of KS2/Year 6 needs.
• Patient, positive and supportive approach.
• Ability to work with the class teacher and wider school team.

Responsibilities

• Support Year 6 pupils with EHCP plans, providing targeted help.
• Assist with general classroom tasks and activities in KS2.
• Collaborate with the teacher and school staff to support inclusion.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a primary school in Redditch who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join their Key Stage 2 / KS2 team. The school is looking for a supportive and enthusiastic individual who can help pupils feel confident, engaged and included within the classroom.

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis with an immediate start. The successful Teaching Assistant will primarily support children in Year 6 with EHCP plans, providing targeted support to meet their individual needs, alongside general classroom support when required.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
• Experience supporting children with additional needs and EHCP plans
• Experience working with children within a primary school setting
• A good understanding of Key Stage 2 / KS2 and the needs of Year 6 pupils
• A patient, positive and supportive approach
• The ability to work effectively with the class teacher and wider school team
