Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a KS2 team in Redditch on a full-time, long-term basis with immediate start. You will support Year 6 pupils, including those with EHCP plans, and help them stay engaged and confident in class.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with additional needs and EHCP plans.
• Strong understanding of KS2/Year 6 requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and school teams.

Responsibilities

• Support Year 6 pupils with EHCPs and provide targeted assistance.
• Deliver in-class support to ensure pupil engagement and inclusion.
• Assist with classroom management and differentiation as directed by the teacher.

Salary: £95 - £120 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a primary school in Redditch who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join their Key Stage 2 / KS2 team. The school is looking for a supportive and enthusiastic individual who can help pupils feel confident, engaged and included within the classroom.

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis with an immediate start. The successful Teaching Assistant will primarily support children in Year 6 with EHCP plans, providing targeted support to meet their individual needs, alongside general classroom support when required.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
• Experience supporting children with additional needs and EHCP plans
• Experience working with children within a primary school setting
• A good understanding of Key Stage 2 / KS2 and the needs of Year 6 pupils
• A patient, positive and supportive approach
• The ability to work effectively with the class teacher and wider school team
