Job summary

Protocol Education is recruiting a KS1 Teaching Assistant in Bristol to support pupils through small group interventions and developmental activities. The role focuses on helping children learn, building confidence and supporting the class teacher to bring lessons to life.

The ideal candidate will have school experience, an interest in SEN and behaviour management, and a collaborative, calm approach. Enhanced DBS via Update Service is preferred or a willingness to obtain it.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a school setting.
  • SEN/behaviour management experience or interest.
  • Team player with ability to build relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Calm, patient and supportive approach to learning.
  • Willingness to obtain or already hold an enhanced DBS via Update Service.

KS1 Teaching Assistant

We\'re working with a school in Bristol who are preparing for the new academic year and they\'re on the lookout for a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to run small group intervetions.

If you enjoy helping children learn, build confidence and succeed, this could be the perfect role for you.

Your responsbilities will include:

  • Delivering small group interventions
  • Supporting children with their learning and development
  • Assisting the class teacher to bring lessons to life
  • Confidentlty managing behaviour
  • Supporting children with additional needs

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in a school setting
  • Some experience with SEN/ behaviour management, or an interest in developing your skills
  • A team player, willing to build relationships with pupils and staff
  • A calm, patient and supporting approach to learning
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to get one
