Job summary

Vision for Education is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive classroom team in Calne. You will work with students with Autism, SEMH needs, and a range of learning difficulties, providing 1:1 and small group support. Personal care duties may be required in a compassionate educational setting.

The role is long-term, starting ASAP and running through to the end of the academic year, with safeguarding as a key priority and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in any setting.
• Genuine passion for working in education.
• Enhanced DBS check registered on Update Service or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Support students 1:1 and in small groups.
• Assist with personal care when required (toileting, feeding, daily living).
• Work closely with the class teacher to support pupils with autism and SEMH needs.
• Contribute to safeguarding and inclusive classroom practices.

SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary: £463-£500 per week

The Role

We are looking for a compassionate and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive classroom team. In this role, you will work closely with the class teacher to support students with Autism, SEMH needs, and a range of learning difficulties. Duties will include providing personal care where required, such as assisting with toileting, feeding, and general daily living tasks. You will work with students both 1:1 and in small groups. This long-term role is available for an immediate start and will run through to the end of the academic year.
