Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term role in a KS1 classroom in Moseley. Start date October 2026. Salary £95 - £110 per day, paid PAYE with market-leading pay rates and ongoing CPD opportunities.

You will support children with SEN, help deliver tailored interventions, and promote a positive, inclusive learning environment throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with additional needs (SEN) in KS1.
• Strong understanding of ASD, ADHD or SEMH.
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.

Responsibilities

The school is looking to take on a full time, long term SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a KS1 classroom. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will be supporting children with a range of additional needs, helping to deliver tailored interventions and ensuring pupils remain engaged and supported throughout the school day.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Experience working with children with SEN, particularly within KS1
• A strong understanding of supporting children with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD or SEMH
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach
• A can-do attitude and willingness to support across the classroom
