Job summary

TeacherActive is helping a welcoming primary school in Northfield, UK, to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant for a long-term, full-time position in KS1. You will support children with a range of needs, delivering tailored interventions and keeping pupils engaged throughout the school day.

The successful candidate will have a Level 2/3 TA qualification (or equivalent) and experience with SEN in KS1, with strong communication and behaviour management skills.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience working with children with SEN, particularly within KS1.
• Strong understanding of supporting children with ASD, ADHD or SEMH.
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
• Patient, caring and adaptable approach.
• Can-do attitude and willingness to support across the classroom.

The school is looking to take on a full time, long term SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a KS1 classroom. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will be supporting children with a range of additional needs, helping to deliver tailored interventions and ensuring pupils remain engaged and supported throughout the school day.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Experience working with children with SEN, particularly within KS1
• A strong understanding of supporting children with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD or SEMH
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach
• A 'can-do' attitude and willingness to support across the classroom
