Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with a range of additional needs across Sheffield.

The role is full-time, involves supporting pupils across different age groups and key stages, providing classroom and individual support, and following teachers' guidance while adapting to each pupil's needs.

Qualifications

The settings focus on creating supportive, inclusive environments where pupils are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and engagement with learning.

We are looking for a flexible SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time basis, supporting pupils across different age groups and key stages. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will be expected to provide classroom and individual support, follow teachers' guidance and adapt confidently to the individual needs of the pupils they are working with.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs
• Experience supporting pupils within an education or care setting
• A patient and resilient approach
• The ability to adapt to different pupils, age groups and learning environments
• A positive 'can-do' attitude and willingness to get stuck in
