Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting SEN Teachers to support pupils with complex needs across specialist schools in Northampton. You will create calm, engaging lessons and differentiate activities to meet diverse learning profiles.

Roles are available on a short-term and long-term basis with flexible start dates and ongoing support from a dedicated consultant. The opportunities offer CPD through the National College and a collaborative school-based team.

Qualifications

• QTS or recognised equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience working with pupils with SEN or a genuine interest in specialist education.
• A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• The ability to differentiate learning effectively.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A commitment to helping every pupil reach their potential.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons adapted to a range of SEN needs.
• Supporting pupils with complex learning and additional needs.
• Differentiating activities and resources to meet individual learning profiles.
• Working closely with Teaching Assistants and wider school staff.
• Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Maintaining a positive, structured and inclusive classroom environment.
• Following and contributing to EHCP targets where appropriate.
• Building positive relationships with pupils and their families.
• Monitoring progress and celebrating individual achievements.
