Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting SEN Teachers to support pupils with complex needs across specialist schools in Northampton. You will create calm, engaging lessons and differentiate activities to meet diverse learning profiles.

Roles are available on a short-term and long-term basis with flexible start dates and ongoing support from a dedicated consultant. The opportunities offer CPD through the National College and a collaborative school-based team.

Qualifications

• QTS or recognised equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience working with pupils with SEN or a genuine interest in specialist education.
• A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• The ability to differentiate learning effectively.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons adapted to a range of SEN needs.
• Supporting pupils with complex learning and additional needs.

• Working closely with Teaching Assistants and wider school staff.
• Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Maintaining a positive, structured and inclusive classroom environment.
• Following and contributing to EHCP targets where appropriate.
• Building positive relationships with pupils and their families.
• Monitoring progress and celebrating individual achievements.

Are you a passionate SEN Teacher looking for your next opportunity in Northampton? Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting SEN Teachers to support pupils with complex needs across a range of specialist schools and settings in the area.

We are looking for dedicated teachers who are confident supporting pupils with a range of additional needs and who can create a calm, engaging and inclusive learning environment. Opportunities are available on both a short-term and long-term basis, giving you the flexibility to find a role that suits your experience, availability and career goals.

The schools we work with support pupils with complex learning and additional needs, with classes typically consisting of around 16 pupils. Teachers are supported by experienced Teaching Assistants and wider school teams, allowing you to focus on delivering engaging lessons that are appropriately adapted to meet individual needs.

The role may involve:
