Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is actively recruiting SEN Class Teachers for Northampton partner schools from September 2026. Roles span primary and secondary settings in various SEN provisions and Alternative Provision settings.

We welcome experienced SEN teachers, mainstream teachers moving into SEN, and ECTs who are passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs. The positions are available full-time or part-time across multiple schools.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teachers with QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Primary and/or Secondary teaching experience.
• A genuine passion for working with pupils with SEN.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• The ability to differentiate learning effectively.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet individual needs.
• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs and support teams to create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Adapt teaching to a range of needs including ASC, SEMH, SLD, MLD, PMLD and complex learning needs.

The Role

As an SEN Class Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of your pupils. You will work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs and wider support teams to create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

Our partner schools support pupils with a range of needs, which may include ASC, SEMH, SLD, MLD, PMLD, communication and interaction needs and complex learning needs.
