Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to support our partner schools across Northampton and the surrounding areas.Whether you already have experience supporting children with additional needs or you're looking to take your first step into SEN education, we have opportunities to suit a range of backgrounds and experience levels.As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside teachers and school staff to provide additional support to pupils who may have a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, communication needs and complex needs.Your role could involve providing one-to-one or small-group support, helping pupils access their learning, encouraging positive behaviour, supporting communication and helping students develop their confidence and independence.
You don't necessarily need SEN qualifications!We're interested in people who are:Caring, patient and empatheticReliable and enthusiasticConfident building relationships with children and young peopleInterested in supporting pupils with additional needsCalm and adaptableWilling to learn and develop their skillsExperienced in education, care, childcare, youth work or similar backgrounds - although experience isn't essential for every roleA formal SEN qualification can be beneficial, but the right attitude and personality are just as important. We can help you build your experience and knowledge within the education sector.
