Job summary

Reeson Education is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a Barnet primary school on an ASAP start. You will provide 1:1 support for children with autism and other SEN needs, focusing on early phonics and literacy development within a mainstream EYFS setting.

The role offers ongoing CPD and the opportunity to work within an ASD Resource Base, supporting communication, daily routines and developmental milestones under the guidance of the EYFS Lead.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN in a primary setting.
• Knowledge of ASD and early phonics techniques beneficial.
• Ability to support early literacy development and language skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for children with SEN in a mainstream classroom.
• Support early phonics and literacy development and pre-reading skills.
• Provide personal care as required.
• Support phonics activities and interventions planned by the EYFS Lead.
• Help children develop phonemic awareness, listening skills and early blending.
