Job summary

Reeson Education is recruiting a dedicated 1-2-1 Teaching Assistant to support a year one child with a high level of needs at Brent Primary School, starting October.

You will work closely with the EYFS team to deliver early phonics and literacy activities, use visual supports and PECS/Makaton strategies, and help the child settle into the new school year with structured, nurturing support.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with Autism (ASD) ideally within EYFS/SEND or specialist settings.
• Strong understanding of early phonics, phonemic awareness and early reading development.
• Ability to engage children through songs, stories and practical activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-2-1 support for a year one child with high needs.
• Support targeted phonics and literacy activities planned by the EYFS Lead.
• Assist with transitions, sensory needs and daily routines as required.
