Job summary

Long Term Futures Ltd in Ketley, Telford, is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school from September 2026. You will deliver 1:1 and small-group support across KS1 and KS2, working with teachers and the SENCO to implement EHCP outcomes in an inclusive setting.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a primary or specialist setting.
  • Experience working with pupils across KS1 and KS2.
  • Good understanding of Autism, ADHD and additional learning needs.
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Patient, resilient and nurturing approach.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils across KS1 and KS2.
  • Support children with a range of SEN, including ASD and ADHD.
  • Deliver targeted interventions linked to EHCP outcomes and individual learning plans.
  • Assist teachers in adapting lessons to meet individual pupil needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
  • Support pupils' emotional wellbeing and social development.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, parents and external professionals.
  • Help create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment.

Day Rate: 108 - 120

The Opportunity

Long Term Futures are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Ketley from September 2026.

This is a full-time role supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, working closely with class teachers and SLT to provide tailored support for children with a range of additional needs. The school is committed to delivering an inclusive education where every child is encouraged to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with SEN and enjoys working as part of a collaborative and supportive school team.

Your Key Responsibilities
