Job summary

Prospero Teaching are seeking a caring SEN Primary Teaching Assistant to support students with additional needs in a primary school in Bury. You will assist in classroom management, support small groups and 1:1 with pupils, following the primary curriculum and helping students manage behaviour.

The role is full-time, ASAP start, with temp-to-perm potential. Applicants should have experience with SEMH/Autism/ ADHD and hold right to work in the UK; safeguarding training is provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working with students with SEMH, Autism or ADHD - Preferred
• Experience working within a school or similar setting
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as Safeguarding training is provided)

Prospero Teaching are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant with a calm and caring nature to support within a primary school in Bury. About the role: You will be supporting in management/support in the classroom and with students in small groups or on a 1:1 basis. You will be following the primary curriculum, and support to help the students manage their behaviour. All of the students have been removed from mainstream education due to their behaviour.

CONTRACT /POSITION DETAILS:

• Location - Bury, Manchester
• Position - SEN Primary Teaching Assistant
• Start date - ASAP
• Duration / Likely Duration - Temp to Perm
• Full time/part-time - Full Time
• The minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate of GBP92 per day
• Hours - 08:30 - 15:30

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience of working with students with SEMH, Autism or ADHD - Preferred
• Experience working within a school or similar setting
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as Safeguarding training is provided)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional references
