Job summary

Prospero Teaching are seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to work across our partner schools in the Wythenshawe area. You will support children with additional needs, work 1:1 or in small groups, and help deliver engaging activities to foster learning.

Roles are available across mainstream and specialist settings with ongoing CPD and dedicated consultant support. DBS checks and safeguarding responsibilities are essential for this position.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience and/or qualifications in a TA or SEN support role.
  • Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills.
  • Must hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS certificate and safeguarding responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Support on a 1:1 or small group basis depending on your experience and school requirements
  • Responsible for supporting the delivery of engaging activities and providing individual or group interventions
  • Creating a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes learning and personal development
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents/carers to ensure pupil progress
  • Participation in staff meetings, CPD, and wider school life as required

Location: Wythenshawe
Contract: Full-time and part-time, temporary
Pay: GBP92.63 - GBP120.00 per day depending on experience

Prospero Teaching are looking for Teaching Assistants with SEN experience to work across our schools in the Wythenshawe area. Our clients are seeking high-quality SEN support staff to work with vulnerable children with their education. Roles are available in mainstream and specialist settings.

If you have recent and relevant experience supporting children and young people with additional needs including ASD, SEMH, communication difficulties, or those with more complex needs, then Michaela would love to hear from you.

SEN Teaching Assistant - about the role:
  • Support on a 1:1 or small group basis depending on your experience and school requirements

SEN Teaching Assistant - candidate requirements:
  • Relevant experience and/or qualifications in a TA or SEN support role
  • Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills
  • A reflective, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to teaching
  • Must hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS certificate and demonstrate a clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE)
