Job summary

Gravel Hill Primary School is seeking a SEND Support Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive primary setting. You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to support pupils with special educational needs, helping them access the curriculum and thrive socially and emotionally.

The role involves one-to-one and small group work, contributing to IEPs, and promoting independence while collaborating with families and external professionals.

Qualifications

• Experience working with pupils with SEND in a school setting.
• Patient, empathetic and flexible approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.
• Level 2 or 3 TA qualification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND.

Contract Hours: 11.5 hours
Working Weeks: 38 weeks
Working Pattern: Thursday and Friday, 08:35 - 15:05 (45 minute lunch)
Grade: BEX05 NJC 5
Actual Salary: £7,881 (£29,436 FTE)
Position Start Date: As soon as possible.
