Job summary

Summercroft Primary School is seeking a Special Educational Needs Support Assistant (SENSA) to support pupils across the school, with SEMH and learning interventions. The role involves working closely with the SENCO, pastoral lead and class teachers to ensure planned, resourced and engaging support.

Applicants should have GCSE/C grade results, classroom experience, and strong communication and organisational skills. The role is 17 hours across Monday to Friday, term-time only.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or above.
• Experience in classroom interventions or supporting pupils.
• Strong communication and organisational skills; initiative-minded.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals and groups of children across the school.
• Facilitate SEMH and learning interventions as directed by SENCO/pastoral lead.
• Assist teachers with planning, resourcing and delivering activities.
• Help ensure interventions are engaging, accessible and impactful.
