Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated support worker to assist pupils with SEMH, Autism and ADHD. The role focuses on 1:1 and small-group interventions within a structured school setting, promoting independence and wellbeing.

Hours are 8:30-16:30, Monday to Friday, term-time only. The ideal candidate will have GCSE Maths & English, 3–6 months of experience in SEND/SEMH, and a valid DBS check. Permanent UK Right to Work is required.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3–6 months in an educational setting supporting pupils with SEND/SEMH and challenging behaviours.
• Qualifications: GCSE Maths & English (Grade 5/C or Level 2 equivalent).
• Mindset: Highly resilient, proactive with a can-do attitude.
• Requirements: Permanent UK Right to Work (no sponsorship) and an Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support using Trauma-Informed Practice.
• Deliver tailored curriculum interventions and track pupil progress against EHCP/IEP targets.
• Foster student welfare, safeguarding and restorative behaviour strategies.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, multidisciplinary staff and families.
