We are looking for a dedicated SEN Sensory Support Assistant to join a supportive specialist secondary school in the Bury area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping young people feel confident, supported and ready to learn. You'll play an important role in helping pupils manage sensory needs, develop independence and get the most from their time at school.

What will you be doing?

As a Sensory Support Assistant, you'll work closely with pupils and the wider school team to provide personalised support throughout the school day.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing individual and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
  • Helping pupils manage sensory challenges and feel comfortable within the school environment.
  • Supporting pupils to develop independence, confidence and emotional regulation.
  • Using sensory strategies and activities to help pupils engage with learning.
  • Supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with young people.
  • Working closely with teachers, SEN staff and other professionals.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
