Job summary

Qualifications

A degree or equivalent professional qualification.
A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE or Certificate in Education).
A minimum of five years’ experience working with children or young people with additional and complex needs.
Experience of planning and delivering differentiated learning.
Strong safeguarding, inclusion and student-centred approach.

Responsibilities

Planning and delivering high-quality, inclusive lessons.
Assessing, monitoring and recording student progress against learning goals.
Leading and managing a team of Learning Support Assistants and Assistant Lecturers.
Collaborating with therapists, families and other professionals.
Developing differentiated learning programmes tailored to individual needs.
Contributing to curriculum development and quality improvement.
Supporting safeguarding and an inclusive learning environment.
Participating in professional development and performance management.
