Job summary

Philosophy Education in Bromley seeks an experienced Lecturer to deliver inclusive, differentiated teaching for students with additional and complex needs. You will lead a team of Learning Support Assistants and work with therapists and families to support learners’ progress and independence.

The role focuses on safeguarding, inclusion, and high-quality curriculum delivery, with ongoing professional development and performance management opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or Certificate in Education).
• Minimum five years' experience working with children or young people with additional and complex needs.
• Experience of planning and delivering differentiated learning.
• Strong safeguarding, inclusion and student-centred learning.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering high-quality, inclusive lessons.
• Assessing, monitoring and recording student progress against personalized learning goals.
• Leading and managing a team of Learning Support Assistants and Assistant Lecturers.
• Working collaboratively with therapists, families and other professionals to support students' learning and development.
• Developing differentiated learning programmes tailored to individual needs.
• Contributing to curriculum development and continuous quality improvement.
• Supporting safeguarding, student wellbeing and an inclusive learning environment.
• Participating in professional development and performance management activities.
