Job summary

Philosophy Education in Bromley is recruiting an experienced Lecturer to deliver engaging, differentiated teaching in specialist further education and support young people with additional and complex needs.

You will lead a small team of Learning Support Assistants, plan lessons aligned to EHCP goals, monitor progress, collaborate with therapists and families, contribute to curriculum development, and uphold safeguarding and inclusive learning.

Qualifications

• A degree or equivalent professional qualification.
• A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE or Certificate in Education).
• Minimum five years' experience with children or young people with additional and complex needs.
• Experience planning and delivering differentiated learning.
• Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to lead and develop a team of support staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality inclusive lessons.
• Assess and monitor student progress against personalized goals and EHCP outcomes.
• Lead and manage Learning Support Assistants and Assistant Lecturers.
• Collaborate with therapists, families and other professionals.
• Develop differentiated learning programmes tailored to individual needs.
• Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement.
• Support safeguarding and an inclusive learning environment.
• Participate in professional development and performance management.
