Job summary

Philosophy Education, Ltd. in Bromley is recruiting an experienced Lecturer to join our specialist FE team. Deliver engaging, differentiated teaching to students with additional and complex needs, promoting independence and positive outcomes.

Key duties include planning lessons, assessing progress against EHCP goals, leading Learning Support Assistants, and collaborating with therapists and families to support learning and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or Certificate in Education).
• Minimum five years’ experience working with children or young people with additional and complex needs.
• Experience planning and delivering differentiated learning.
• Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and student-centered learning.
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop a team of support staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive lessons.
• Assess, monitor and record student progress against personalized learning goals and EHCP outcomes.
• Lead and manage Learning Support Assistants and Assistant Lecturers.
• Collaborate with therapists, families and other professionals to support learning and development.
• Develop differentiated learning programmes tailored to individual needs.
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous quality improvement.
• Support safeguarding, student wellbeing and an inclusive learning environment.
• Participate in professional development and performance management activities.
