Job summary

Philosophy Education, Ltd. seeks an experienced Lecturer to teach in a specialist Further Education setting in Bromley. You will deliver differentiated lessons and support students with additional and complex needs to achieve their potential.

The role involves leading a team of support staff, collaborating with therapists and families, and contributing to curriculum development while upholding safeguarding and inclusive practices.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or Certificate in Education).
• Minimum five years’ experience with children/young people with additional and complex needs.
• Experience in planning and delivering differentiated learning.
• Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and student-centered learning.
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop a team of support staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive lessons.
• Assess, monitor and record progress against learning goals and EHCP outcomes.
• Lead and manage a team of Learning Support Assistants and Assistant Lecturers.
• Collaborate with therapists, families and professionals to support learning.
• Develop learning programmes tailored to individual needs.
• Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement.
• Support safeguarding and student wellbeing.
