Job summary

London South East Colleges is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to provide person-centred learning support to students with SEN in a busy FE environment. You will assist with access to learning programmes, college services, and personal development, including support with personal care where required in Plumstead, SE18.

You will work with individuals or small groups, establish strong relationships with students, teachers, carers and other agencies, and contribute to safe, inclusive learning

Qualifications

• Experience of working with learners with SEN in a secondary or FE environment is desirable.
• Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with students, teachers, parent/carers and other agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred learning support to students with severe and complex learning difficulties and/or disabilities; may include personal care.
• Work with individuals or small groups and encourage engagement with activities or independent learning.
• Support learners with access to learning programmes and College services, including EHCP-related outcomes.
