Job summary

London South East Colleges is seeking a Learning Support Assistant (SEND) to support students with SEN at our Bexley campus. You will provide person-centred learning support, enabling access to learning programmes and College services, and help develop study skills and EHCP outcomes.

You will work with individuals or small groups, assisting with personal care where necessary, and building strong relationships with students, teachers, and carers.

Qualifications

• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with students, teachers and carers.
• Understanding of safeguarding and discrimination issues affecting learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred learning support to students with SEN, including personal care where necessary.
• Support access to learning programmes and College services, and develop study skills.
• Work with individuals or small groups to promote engagement and independence.
