Job summary

London South East Colleges Group is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to help provide essential learning and accessibility support for students with SEN. You will facilitate access to learning programmes and College services, supporting personal development and EHCP-related outcomes.

The role involves person-centered support for students with complex needs, including possible personal care, in a college setting.

Qualifications

• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with students, teachers, parent/carers and other agencies.
• Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment; safeguarding and discrimination issues understood.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred learning support to students with severe and complex learning difficulties and/or disabilities, including personal care where required.
• Support learners to access and achieve learning programmes and College services.
• Work with individuals or small groups and encourage engagement with activities or independent work.
