Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Trafford is seeking a Learning Support Mentor to support pupils aged 3-16 with a range of SEN. The role focuses on 1:1 and small-group support to help learners access the curriculum, build independence and confidence, and achieve individual goals.

You will work with teachers to implement personalised strategies, support communication and emotional development, and contribute to a positive learning environment. DBS check preferred for applicants.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or young people with SEN.
• Confidence supporting individuals with complex needs.
• Willingness to provide personal care if required.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, 1:1, and small-group support.
• Support pupils with complex SEN needs.
• Assist with communication, social, and emotional development.
• Implement personalised learning and behaviour strategies.
• Support with personal care and mobility needs where required.
• Work closely with teachers and other professionals to promote pupil progress.
