Job summary

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a Behaviour Support Mentor to join a welcoming team at a secondary school in Trafford from September. This full-time role focuses on delivering targeted interventions to support students' behavioural development and create a safe, inclusive learning environment.

You will work closely with the classroom teacher and SENCO, provide 1:1 support for KS3 and KS4 students, and help develop individual behaviour plans.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with KS3 and KS4 students in a similar role.
• Good understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
• Patient, empathetic and resilient approach to helping students.

Responsibilities

• Support students with emotional and behavioural challenges on a 1:1 basis.
• Contribute to the development of individual behaviour plans.
• Implement behaviour management interventions and strategies.
• Encourage a positive learning attitude whilst creating safe learning spaces for all.
• Monitor individual student progress.
• Build strong relationships and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
