Bromley College is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work with learners who have SEND, helping them engage with their programmes and campus life. The role involves supporting learners in classrooms and practical settings, promoting independence and wellbeing, and collaborating with staff to implement personalised plans.

Qualifications

• Commitment to supporting learners with SEND in a college setting.
• Ability to work with teaching staff and support teams to remove barriers to learning.
• Experience or willingness to gain First Aid qualification.
• Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive learning practices.

Responsabilités

• Support learners within classroom and practical learning environments.
• Promote independence, confidence and self-advocacy.
• Assist with implementation of individual support plans and EHCP outcomes.
• Provide personal care, mobility and wellbeing support where required.
• Help learners access specialist equipment and assistive technologies.
• Collaborate with curriculum staff, support managers and external agencies.
• Support safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusive learning practices.
• Act as First Aider or undertake First Aid training if required.
