Job summary

Philip Morant School and College in Colchester is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support learners with SEND across the school. You will work in classrooms and intervention settings, acting as a Key Worker for identified students and helping with withdrawal interventions and individual learning plans.

The role includes term-time and non-pupil days, 30 hours per week, and a supportive environment within The Sigma Trust.

Qualifications

• Recent experience working with children in a learning environment.
• Ability to apply behaviour policies to create a purposeful learning environment.
• Training to support SEN is welcome but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Work with individuals or small groups in the classroom.
• Act as a Key Worker, supporting identified students with SEND.
• Plan, organise and implement withdrawal interventions.
• Complete One Plans and Pupil Passports with students and parents.
