Job summary

Philip Southcote School in Weybridge is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work with SEND pupils, supporting teaching staff and helping pupils achieve independent learning. You will contribute to pupil welfare and assist in delivering targeted interventions under the guidance of Teachers and Senior Leaders.

As part of the Bourne Education Trust, the role emphasizes safeguarding, inclusivity and high expectations for pupil achievement within a term-time, permanent setting.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) required.
• Experience of working with children in an education setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding of children.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching provision under the direction of the responsible Teacher.
• Facilitate learning for individual pupils and groups, promoting positive attitudes.
• Prepare and deliver targeted intervention programmes and adjust activities as needed.
