Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a caring SEN Learning Support Assistant to support pupils across Camberley, Surrey. You will work closely with teachers to deliver personalised 1:1 and small-group support, helping students access lessons and build confidence.

The role involves supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH and other needs, promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing, and adapting activities to individual requirements. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

  • Experience in supporting children or young people with SEN or transferable experience.
  • Patience, empathetic and approachable.
  • Confident supporting pupils with different learning and behavioural needs.
  • Strong communicator who works well as part of a team.
  • Calm and consistent when dealing with challenging situations.
  • Passionate about helping every child reach their potential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group learning support.
  • Help pupils engage with lessons and activities.
  • Support children with autism, ADHD, SEMH, learning needs.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
  • Help pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills.
  • Adapt learning activities to individual needs.
  • Work with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff.
  • Monitor pupils' progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
