Job summary

Staples Road Primary School in Loughton is seeking an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a caring, friendly team. The role involves supporting one-to-one and leading small group interventions, including lunchtimes and classroom activities, with a focus on building strong relationships with children and adults.

The successful candidate will hold NVQ Level 2 or above, have experience with children with special educational needs, and work well as part of a team, using their initiative

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant qualification at NVQ Level 2 or above.
• Experience of working with children with a range of special educational needs.
• Caring nature and ability to communicate effectively with children and adults.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support one-to-one with pupils and lead small group interventions.
• Assist during lunchtimes and in the classroom to support learning.
• Build strong relationships with children and adults and use initiative as required.
