Job summary

Teaching Personnel are recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to work in primary schools in Lutterworth from October 2026. The role involves supporting pupils with SEN, delivering 1:1 and small-group interventions, and helping teachers create inclusive lessons.

You should be patient, reliable and able to build positive relationships with pupils, teachers and the wider school team. Previous school-based experience and a passion for helping children reach their learning potential are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school or similar setting.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEN.
• Ability to provide 1:1 and small-group support.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to pupils with SEN and additional needs.
• Deliver and support small-group interventions.
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning.
• Support pupils’ social, emotional and academic development.
• Help manage behaviour positively and effectively.
• Work closely with teachers and the wider school team.
• Adapt support to meet individual pupils’ needs.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
