Job summary

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our caring, friendly and hardworking team at Staples Road Primary School in Loughton. The role involves supporting one-to-one and small group interventions, including lunchtimes, and building strong relationships with children and adults.

To be eligible you should hold an NVQ Level 2 or above and have experience with children with special educational needs.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification or higher.
• Experience working with children with a range of special educational needs.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults.

About this Role

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our caring, friendly and hard-working team. As well as having a strong understanding of building strong relationships with adults and children, we are also looking for someone who can use their initiative. The post may involve working with children to support one to one and lead small group interventions and will include lunchtimes as well as working in the classroom.

The successful candidate will need to:

• hold a relevant qualification at NVQ Level 2 or above
• Have some experience of working with children with a range of special educational needs
• Have a caring nature
• Be able to communicate effectively with children and adults
• Be able to work as part of a team
