Job summary

St Paul’s Catholic College in Burgess Hill is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide key SEN support in the classroom, working 1:1 and in small groups to help pupils access the curriculum at an appropriate level.

You will collaborate closely with teaching staff and the SENCO, contribute to IEP targets and reviews, and support pastoral care while upholding safeguarding and data protection practices.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs in a classroom setting.
• Ability to provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils.
• Ability to monitor progress and contribute to IEP targets and reviews.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group SEN support to pupils in class and withdrawal groups.
• Collaborate with teachers to adapt learning and ensure accessibility.
• Assist with IEP targets, EHCP reviews, and safeguarding practices.
• Liaise with SENCO and Learning Support Manager on pupil progress.
