Job summary

Learn Academies Trust is seeking a part-time Learning Support Assistant to work under a teacher's supervision, supporting 1:1 and small-group activities within the classroom. You will help implement planned lessons, monitor pupil progress, and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Candidates should have NVQ 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent, and STL Level 2 standards. The role includes term-time hours with a routine schedule and safeguarding checks.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children and safeguarding.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Willing to learn and take on a variety of tasks.
• Organised, reliable and detail-focused.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to pupils or support small groups under the teacher's guidance.
• Assist in planned whole class activities and monitor pupil engagement and progress.
• Help maintain a safe, respectful and secure learning environment according to lesson plans.
• Observe pupil performance and behaviour, feeding back to the teacher as appropriate.
• Support pupils to develop numeracy and literacy across the curriculum.
