Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking a patient and caring SEN Teaching Assistant for a well-resourced SEN school in Harlow. The role is full-time and long-term, starting ASAP, supporting both primary and secondary pupils with various needs including autism, ADHD and speech and language difficulties.

You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals to deliver 1:1 and group support, following EHCP targets, and helping pupils develop communication, emotional regulation and

Qualifications

Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
Calm, patient and resilient approach.
Comfortable working across both primary and secondary age groups.
Confident supporting non-verbal or limited communication pupils.
Willing to support personal care where needed.
Strong team player with a proactive attitude.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

Providing 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes
Supporting communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning
Following EHCP targets and individual support plans
Assisting with personal care where required
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals
Helping maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment
Encouraging independence, confidence and social development
