Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking a patient and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a well-resourced school in Harlow, supporting both primary and secondary pupils starting ASAP. This long-term, full-time role offers ongoing professional support and a chance to make a lasting difference.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support, help with communication and emotional regulation, follow EHCP targets, and work closely with teachers and specialists to create a calm, engaging learning

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Comfortable across primary and secondary age groups.
• Willing to support personal care where needed.
• Strong team player with a proactive attitude.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes
• Supporting communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning
• Following EHCP targets and individual support plans
• Assisting with personal care where required
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals
• Helping maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment
• Encouraging independence, confidence and social development
