Job summary

Riverbank Academy is seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team, supporting teaching staff with developing and delivering educational provision for learners.

You will provide structured support in class, assist with the tutorial program as a co-tutor, and help pupils aged 11–19 with navigating learning and personal care needs, building confidence and independence.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (C/4 or above) including English and Maths.
• A-levels (AS/Level) desirable.
• Experience working with groups of young people with complex SEND.
• Ability to support students aged 11–19 in moving and handling and personal care.
• Experience leading lessons in community, mainstream or special school context.

• A minimum of 2 GCSEs or equivalent at C (4/5) grade or above, including English and Maths

• Experience working with groups of young people with complex SEND, preferably of secondary age
• Experience of leading lessons within a community, mainstream or special school context
• Ability to be empathetic and understanding to the needs of students
