Job summary

Riverbank Academy in Coventry is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join our caring, creative school community. You will contribute to the whole life of the School, implementing the Riverbank curriculum and meeting professional teaching standards to support students.

The right candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and the ability to work indoors and outdoors, assisting students aged 11–19 with SEND and related activities. Interviews will take place on application.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work indoors and outdoors in various environments.
• Experience supporting students with SEND.
• Ability to assist with personal care where needed.

Overview of the role

To contribute to the whole life of the School, always remembering that our core purpose is to improve the education and lives of the children and young people at the School. Implementing the Riverbank curriculum by meeting the professional teaching standards and teaching of pupils.

The right candidate will have:

• Qualified teacher status
• The ability to work indoors and outdoors in rural and urban environments, supporting students in a range of activities
• Ability to move physiotherapy equipment with appropriate training and guidance from specialists, this includes the manoeuvring of manual wheelchairs.To be able to apply specialist skills to supporting in meeting the need of complex SENDThe ability to support students aged from 11-19 moving and handling and personal care
