Job summary

Riverbank Academy in Coventry is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to contribute to the education and lives of students aged 11-19, within a supportive school community.

The right candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status and be able to work indoors and outdoors, supporting students in a range of activities, including moving physiotherapy equipment under specialist guidance.

Riverbank offers professional development and a welcoming team; interviews will take place upon application.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher status is required.
• Experience with SEND students is essential.
• Ability to move physiotherapy equipment with training and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver SEN teaching in line with school curriculum.
• Support students aged 11–19 in indoor and outdoor activities.
• Assist with moving equipment and providing personal care where needed.

Overview of the role

The right candidate will have:

• Qualified teacher status
• The ability to work indoors and outdoors in rural and urban environments, supporting students in a range of activities
• Ability to move physiotherapy equipment with appropriate training and guidance from specialists, this includes the manoeuvring of manual wheelchairs.To be able to apply specialist skills to supporting in meeting the need of complex SENDThe ability to support students aged from 11-19 moving and handling and personal care
