Responsibilities

Job description

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs?

We are looking for a committed and resilient SEN Learning Partner to join the specialist resource base within a welcoming primary school in North Bristol. This is a full-time role supporting pupils who require additional help to access learning, regulate their emotions and build positive relationships within school.

The role will involve:
  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with a range of SEN and SEMH needs
  • Supporting children with emotional regulation, communication and behaviour
  • Using positive behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
  • Helping pupils engage with learning through structured, individualised activities
  • Recognising triggers and responding calmly to challenging or dysregulated behaviour
  • Supporting pupils to develop confidence, independence and social skills
  • Working closely with teachers, SEND staff and other professionals to implement individual support plans
  • Helping to create a safe, consistent and nurturing environment
We are looking for someone who:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
