Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking dedicated SEN / SEMH Educators based in Keynsham to support children with additional needs across local primary schools. You will provide tailored 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils access learning and build emotional regulation in a calm, inclusive environment.

You will work closely with teachers and SENCOs, with experience in SEMH, ASD or ADHD; full-time, long-term roles available, weekly PAYE pay, and ongoing SEND-focused CPD.

Protocol Education is currently seeking dedicated and resilient SEN / SEMH Educators based in Keynsham who are passionate about supporting children with additional needs across local primary schools.

This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity for someone who understands that progress looks different for every child. Some days it's completing a piece of work. Other days it's joining a group activity, managing emotions successfully, or simply feeling confident enough to walk into the classroom.

You'll work closely with pupils with SEMH, ASD, ADHD and other additional learning needs, providing the consistency, encouragement and understanding they need to thrive both academically and emotionally.

Pay

£92 - £100 per day, paid weekly via PAYE

We're Looking For Someone Who…

• Has experience supporting children with SEND and/or SEMH needs
• Remains calm, patient and resilient under pressure
• Can build strong relationships and positive connections quickly
• Has excellent communication and behaviour management skills
• Is adaptable and proactive in their approach
• Understands trauma-informed practice or is willing to learn
• Is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning
• Brings positivity, empathy and consistency every day

Experience from education, youth work, residential care, support work, coaching, healthcare, mental health support or similar child-focused settings is highly valued.

What We Need to Clear You

• Passport or proof of right to work in the UK
• Two proofs of address
• A CV covering the last 10 years of work or education, with any gaps explained
• References covering the previous two years, including childcare references where applicable
• An overseas police check if you've lived abroad for three months or more in the past five years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
