Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is seeking a SEN Learning Mentor to support learners in a small, inclusive SEN school setting. You will work closely with teachers to tailor activities, promote wellbeing, and help pupils engage and progress.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people with diverse special educational needs (SEN).
• Strong communication and ability to build rapport with students quickly.
• DBS check or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEN.
• Build positive relationships to encourage engagement and development.
• Support learning activities tailored to individual needs in collaboration with teachers.
• Promote communication, social interaction, emotional wellbeing and independence.
• Use diverse strategies to help learners overcome barriers to learning.
• Create a safe, supportive environment where pupils feel valued and encouraged to succeed.
