Job summary

Place Partnership seeks a resilient SEN Learning Mentor to join Horbury Academy. You will deliver targeted interventions to pupils at risk of underachievement, supporting academic progress and pupils' personal, social and emotional development.

You will plan bespoke SEND support and small-group curriculum interventions, helping pupils overcome barriers and achieve their full potential within a supportive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 qualified or equivalent experience.
• Knowledgeable about numeracy and literacy development.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Able to establish effective working relationships with colleagues and external agencies.
• Committed to inspiring and motivating young people.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted intervention programmes for pupils at risk of underachievement.
• Plan and deliver bespoke SEND support and curriculum interventions for small groups.
• Provide high-quality pastoral and practical support to pupils, including welfare needs.
• Support pupils with behavioural and emotional needs in small groups and classroom settings.
• Promote engagement, inclusion, independence and positive learning behaviours.
