Job summary

Connex Education is recruiting a dedicated SEN Intervention Teaching Assistant to support children with SEN across primary schools in Weston-super-Mare. Immediate start.

You will provide targeted 1-2-1 and small-group interventions, helping pupils develop academically, socially and emotionally, and work closely with class teachers and SEN staff.

Competitive daily rate £95–£115, 5 days per week, with ongoing opportunities and access to professional development.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children with SEN or additional needs.
  • Experience delivering interventions is desirable.
  • Caring, patient and empathetic approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Calm, consistent and supportive manner.
  • Flexibility, reliability and adaptability; five days a week.
  • Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
  • An enhanced DBS check or willingness to complete one.
  • The right to work in the UK.

SEN Intervention Teaching Assistant

Location: Weston-super-Mare
Rate of Pay: £95–£115/day

About the Role

Connex Education is looking for a dedicated SEN Intervention Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs across primary schools in Weston-super-Mare. This is a great opportunity for an experienced SEN Intervention Teaching Assistant who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and make positive progress.

As a SEN Intervention Teaching Assistant, you will provide targeted support through 1-2-1 and small-group interventions, helping pupils develop academically, socially and emotionally. You will work closely with class teachers and SEN staff to provide consistent and individualised support.

Key Responsibilities
